World’s Biggest Family Living Under one Roof

Mizoram: There is a house in India under one roof of which 199 members of the same family live. Zeona’s family says they want to carry on Zeona’s legacy.

According to media reports, the village of Baktong in the north-eastern state of Mizoram in India is home to the world’s largest family with 199 people living under one roof.

World’s Largest Family Tree Living in one House

Zeona was the patriarch of this family with 38 wives, 89 children and 36 daughters. Zeona died in 2021 at the age of 76 due to medical complications from high blood pressure and diabetes.

However, his family is living under one roof in Zeona, a complex built in the hills of Baktong. Some of Ziona’s children are married and some have multiple wives. The number of family members is now 199.

Everyone gathers twice a day for meals in the great hall of their house, which looks more like a canteen than a dining room. Members share everything from daily chores to food and finances. Zeona’s family says they want to carry on Zeona’s legacy.
